In the sense organs, the mind, the sense organs.

In the objects of the senses, yathahudbhavah, wherefrom they generated, bhutahadina, by the 5 elements, amuni, all those sense objects, utkṣya, taking out, mahati, in the ma-tattva, at-mani, unto the ego, san-d-d-he, amalgamated.

This is more about Maharaja Prithu's leaving his body and going to the spiritual sky.

Translation, purport by Srila Prabhupada.

He amalgamated the mind with the senses and the senses with the sense objects according to their respective positions and he also amalgamated the material ego with the total material energy, mahat-tattva.

In respect to the ego, the mind, the total material energy is centered in 2 parts.

the other agitated by the modes of passion and goodness.

Due to agitation by the mode of ignorance, the 5 gross elements are created.

Due to agitation by the mode of passion, the mind is created, and due to agitation by the mode of goodness, self-egotism or identification with matter is created.

The mind is protected by a particular type of demigod.

Sometimes a mind, manap, is also understood to have a controlling deity or demigod.

In this way, the total mind, namely the material mind, controlled by material demigods, was amalgamated with the senses.

The senses in turn were amalgamated with the sense objects.

The sense objects are forms, tastes, smells, sound, etc.

Sound is the ultimate source of the sense objects.

The mind was attracted by the senses and the senses by the sense objects and all of them were ultimately amalgamated in the sky.

The creation is so arranged that cause and effect follow 1 after another.

The merging involves amalgamating the effect with the original cause.

Since the ultimate cause in the material world is mahat-tattva, everything was gradually wound up and amalgamated with the mahat-tattva.

This may be compared to Sunyavada or in Buddhism.

But this is the process for cleansing the real spiritual mind or consciousness.

When the mind is completely washed of all material contamination, the pure consciousness acts.

The sound vibration from the spiritual sky can automatically cleanse all material contaminations as confirmed by Caitanya Mahaprabhu, ceto-darpana-marjanam.

We can only take the advice of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu and chant the Hare Krishna mantra to cleanse the mind of all material contamination.

This may be considered the summary of this difficult verse.

As soon as all material contamination is washed away by this process of chanting, all desires and reactions to material activities become immediately vanquished.

In this age of Kali, it is very difficult to adopt the yoga process mentioned in this verse.

Unless 1 is very expert in such yoga, the best course is to adopt the ways and means of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Sri Krishna Sankirtanam.

Thus 1 can gloriously become free from all material contamination by the simple process of chanting, Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Just as life in this material world at its beginning in material sound, similarly the spiritual light at its beginning in the spiritual world and this spiritual sound vibration.

E guru-vaisnava-amsca-sri-bhutam sa-gaja-tam sahagana-ragh-nitam-vitam tam sa-jivam sad-aidam sab-adutam parijana-sahitam krsna-cetam yad evam Sri Rama Krsna padam sahagana-ladhi tusi vishakam vitam Nama om Vishnu padaya, Krishna paishtaya, Bhuta le, Shri Matai Bhakti Vedanta, Swamini, Tinamine.

Namaste, Sarasvati, Devi, Kauravani, Pacharine, Nirvishesha, Shunyavali, Paschiturisha, Tharvine.

As I was previously explaining, this mystic yoga system was practiced in the Sathya Yoga, in which one's duration of life is 100,000 years.

And this mystic process of yoga would take 60,000 years to complete.

So what's the question of having 60,000 years in this Kali-yuga?

But in this age it's very easy, it's been made very easy by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

Somebody chanting Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.

We're so foolish, instead of taking this easy process, we think let me go to a yoga studio and learn a few asanas and that way I'll become spiritually awakened.

So we have to give up this foolishness and actually understand in this thing it's not practical to do the yoga asana.

Of course you can do it for the health of you want there's no objection.

But you're not going to become self-realized by doing yoga asana or by meditating on the personal oneness.

In this age of Kali there is no other alternative than chanting the Hare Krishna mantra.

So you may think, well let me make an experiment, see if I can find another way to become self-realized.

You can try this and try that if you like, go on as long as you want, for millions of lifetimes if you want, trying to find a way to get out of the cycle of birth and death.

Why don't you take the easy process that's given to you right now?

If it's being handed to you right now, here's the process of self-realization.

Why do we want to linger here in the material nature?

Running here, running there, trying to enjoy this, trying to enjoy that.

Why are we so foolish that we don't take this process seriously?

Actually this process of chanting is so powerful.

I just read this morning in the Chaitanya Charita-mita.

If 1 can chant the holy name of the Lord without offense, he becomes Jagadguru.

And under his influence, the whole world takes up chanting.

A pure chanter can deliver the whole world, all the living entities who are suffering in this material world back to home, back to Godhead.

So the problem is our chanting is not pure.

In so many ways, you know, all these inertias that are holding us back from shooting on.

So I should be angry without shooting on.

When my offenses cease, and taste for the name increasing, when in my heart will your mercy shine?

So those of us who are still caught up in lust, anger, greed, madness, delusion, and envy, we can take I take solace from this very nice song of Bacchus and pray.

When will that day come when I'll be free from all of my lust, my anger, my greed, my madness, delusion, envy.

Right now I'm very unfortunate, very unlucky.

Even though I've been given the greatest fortune in the form of the holy name still I'm running after sins and joy.

We should lament our fallen position actually.

It's very good to lament our fallen position and hanker for that day when I actually take shuddam nama and I actually become empowered to live all the living entities in the material world back to Godhead.

So we don't have to invent a new process, we just have to take what our Acharya has given to us.

That's the beauty of Krishna consciousness.

You don't have to reinvent the wheel, just take advantage of what is already there.

You don't have to worry about how to make cookies, it's right there in the cookbook, just follow the instructions.

don't have to figure out how to become self-realized, it's right there in the Bhagavad Gita how to become self-realized, you just have to take it, that's all.

We're so stubborn, we're so foolish, we're so falsely independent, thinking ourselves independent, We don't want to take it.

There was a popular saying back in the 60s, do your own thing.

In other words, be independent, do what you want, not what somebody else wants you to do.

That was a very popular thing in the 60's, doing your own thing.

So let's not be stubborn in doing my own thing.

Let's follow Prabhupada's instruction, Krishna's instruction, and actually get out of this quagmire.

So when will that day come when we become intelligent?

Stop being so foolish like Mahamudas, like the donkey, the proverbial, the dog, the camel, and the asses.

When are we going to wake up and stop trying to imitate these animals?

Being foolish, foolish to be carried away by the mother nation.

We know this is what we're supposed to do, but yet we're not able to do it.

We're still entangled in so many lusty thoughts, so many lady thoughts, so many angry thoughts.

See what can we, before neophytes do, are completely still entangled in these Muslim nations.

It's why we have to take shelter of the bona fide spiritual master because the spiritual master will train us and teach us how to become liberated souls.

He has not come to cheat us and exploit us like these bogus gurus that simply want money, women and followers.

The bona fide spiritual master is not after money, women, and followers.

The Buddha-like spiritual master has great compassion.

When he sees the fallen souls suffering, he actually cries.

It's suffering that brings him so much pain to see somebody caught up in the modes of nature.

He said, the bona fide spiritual master actually cries to see how they're suffering and wants to do something to save them.

So instead of being stubborn, hold out, money, do our own thing, let's now align ourselves with the bona fide spiritual master.

Whatever the spiritual master wants me to do, let me take that in my life and so, however I can best serve the orders of my spiritual master.

That's in the mood of the bona fide disciple.

So, it's not difficult if you're sincere.

have a cheating mood, it's very difficult.

Don't come to Krishna consciousness with a cheating mood.

Now you can get some sense gratification out of this movement.

Make a show of being a devotee and get some sense gratification.

But those who came in the mood of sincerely wanting to please Krishna and the spiritual master, they're still here.

So if you want longevity in Krishna consciousness, sincerity is required, not a cheating move.

You're talking about ego, you mean false ego.

We think the false ego means he's really puffed up, he's really proud.

The meaning of false ego is identifying with your body.

So I think I'm this body that I'm guilty, that I'm suffering, but it's false ego, false identity.

So ego in the sense here doesn't mean pride, it means identity.

In the material world, egoistic means he's very proud, very self-centered.

That's the normal definition in material society but in Prabhupada's books we see here ego means identity of course the false ego manifests in the form of a false pride no doubt False pride is a symptom of false ego, but false ego means identifying with matter.

So instead of identifying with matter and being forced to undergo birth, death, old age, and disease, we should identify with the spirit, with Krishna.

Jiva-sarv-upahai, Krishna-aranyac-chit-das.

The constitutional position of a living entity is the eternal servant of Krishna.

So let's come back to our actual identities and become truly happy.

You cannot be happy as long as we misidentify that this material body is not possible.

Even if you're in a very pleasing situation, materially speaking, it won't last.

You have a healthy body, you have plenty of money, you have sex, or so they all think, I'm really enjoying life, but old age is coming, disease is coming, death is coming.

So don't be carried away by some temporary happiness.

1 should intelligently see what is my actual position here in this material world?

1 should be intelligent and sober and see actually what is my position here.

Vishnu Ratadas, is the roaming mind cause of agitated senses?

mind is not fixed on Krishna, it's roaming here, means going through sense enjoyment.

A roaming mind means you're trying to get some sense gratification, even grossly or subtly.

It's like some people meditate on sex life.

They don't have to enjoy it grossly so they try to enjoy it by meditating on it.

So, in this way, the mind roaming means you're not satisfied with Krishna consciousness.

Is it my mind causes agitated senses or agitated senses causes the mind to roam.

Well if your senses are agitated, your mind is already roamed.

If your mind isn't roamed, if it thinks that Krishna is Lord of the space.

You see the natural position of the mind is he thinks in Krishna consciousness.

So, the first 1, the mind, the only mind is the cause of agitated senses.

The mind, away from Krishna, senses become agitated.

Because, see, our position is to have satisfaction.

So if your mind is wrong, it's not getting satisfied in Krishna consciousness, therefore it's looking for satisfaction in sense gratification.

Amalapurana, what cheating mentality can 1 have when coming to Krishna consciousness?

Somebody, when they see what is really, this nice Brahma tree, maybe I can get something going with it.

Very beautiful young girl, maybe I can get something going with her.

Not coming to see some nice woman, you might want to get something going with sex pleasure for example.

That's an example of somebody coming with an ulterior motive.

Or 1 wants to become famous or wanting followers.

The Prophet told me all material desire is 0.

There is even a slight desire for I want name and fame, I want followers, I want money, I want recognition in ever being a great person.

Paramahamsa, if 1 tries to take instructions of a spiritual master and to be selfishly trying to fulfill them, is that cheating?

1 takes the order of the spiritual master as one's life and soul, that's not cheating, that's the proper move.

Let me take the order of my spiritual master is my life and soul.

Selfishly trying to fulfill the order of the spiritual master.

How can you be selfish in trying to serve the spiritual master's order?

That means you want some recognition that I'm a great person by following the spiritual master's order.

You could have some ulterior motives by following the spiritual master's order.

That's why so many came and so many left because they had some selfish, selfish desire in their, selfishness in the heart.

They were selfish, they would never left.

So many came and so many left, even big gurus left, you can imagine.

That means there was some selfishness still there in their devotional service.

Shivani, obedience is good to the envious of those relatives who are eating meat, but are chanting and remembering the Lord's name without

Is it good to be envious of those relatives?

Somebody's eating meat, you should feel sorry for them and the poor animals also they're eating.

Eating meat means the poor animal was killed to satisfy their tongues, their lust.

Why would you be envious of them if you feel sorry for them, those poor souls?

So foolishly causing a poor animal to be slaughtered to gratify their lust for meat.

What's the question of Being envious and you feel sorry for them.

You have compassion in your heart to see these poor fools.

Kindly enlightened for a struggling neophyte.

If he puts full focus on the morning chanting, does that 1 focus save him all inevitably?

Well, if 1 is focusing on his morning chanting, He's definitely on the right track.

That focus is very strong and you maintain that same mood throughout the day.

You're definitely going to become free from all of the anarchists.

The desire is to purely chant the holy name with full focus.

You take that mood with you when you chant your japa.

That mood will actually carry throughout the day.

If you're sincerely doing your job in that mood of getting free from all the anarchists and manifesting Shuddhanath, that mood will carry throughout the whole day in everything you do.

And gradually free you from all un-artists.

Ardhanashila, Hare Krishna, Shri Lagarjuna, in the Purport it says sound vibration could automatically cleanse all material contamination.

It says of all the senses sound is the ultimate source.

While chanting material contamination takes over, that comes foreground of subtention.

Please in line on how to understand this contrary.

Well the thing about the ship was so addicted to sense gratification for thousands and billions of lifetimes they were running for eating, sleeping, mating, and descendants.

Even though it's not like somehow the fish got up on the land and he tried to make all kinds of arrangements on the land.

He became addicted to living on the land even though it's an artificial position.

He became addicted to somehow trying to live on the land, get a nice house, get a movie star wife, so many things.

He's trying to make all arrangements to be happy on the land even though it's an artificial position.

While chanting material contaminations take over.

In the end of each other, some young man or new day a day, the dasha hadith a bag on say, in the end of each other, some man, man, yama, new material, the dasha hadith a bag on by your own, by your number, we've on the sea.

There's a bug in the water swept away by a strong wind.

Mind focuses can carry away a man's intelligence.

So we're chanting, but yet we're not fully absorbing the chanting.

Our mind is going here and there to try to enjoy in this way, try to enjoy separately.

We're thinking, well, maybe unlimited nectar in the name.

Let me try to find some nectar somewhere else.

We're nectar seekers by nature, so we're not getting the holy name.

We're not chanting with full attention and therefore we're looking for satisfaction somewhere else.

But if we can fully dive deep into the ocean of the sublime, ocean of the holy name, we'll get unlimited satisfaction.

It's like the honey jar there, if you're only licking the outside, you're getting a little bit of honey dripped on the outside of the jar, but you're not getting the full nectar.

Those who know how to put their tongue inside the jar, they taste the full nectar.

So I'm not chanting with full attention, that means I'm on the outside of the honey jar I only get a little tiny bit of what's in the honey jar.

For those whose chin was in attention, was full attention, you see, was full attention.

They get, their tongue is inside the honey jar getting the full nectar.

From whatever and wherever the mind wanders, do it in split-bring, in a steady nature, and most certainly withdraw it and bring it back into the control of the self.

As I many times give the example, the intelligence is the mother and the mind is the little kid.

kid is running here, running there, breaking the dishes, doing so many things, passing stool in here, diapers.

So many things the little kid is making trouble.

Of course, maybe a satchel of diapers stays running here.

The mind is the naughty kid and the intelligence is the mother trying to train the mind not to be a naughty kid anymore that's the point.

The mind is running here and there here and there it's not it's a naughty kid trying to get pleasure in this way, pleasure in that way.

Surely there's some pleasure and some gratification in my things.

So you have to intelligently say, my dear mind, just like the great Acharya, he had that, even though he was a great Acharya, his mind would sometimes remember when he used to have sex, when he was a king.
